  • Contracting with multiple subcontractors
  • Accounting management
  • On-site management
  • Insurance risk/exposure
  • Excessive construction cycle times
  • Quality control issues
  • Job site theft
  • Disorganized & hazardous job-site conditions
  • Low overall customer satisfaction
CONTRACTORS
  • Great difficulty finding qualified & skilled labor
  • Critical lack of skill sets
  • Paying more to poach skilled trade workers
  • Driving industry prices upward
  • High insurance costs
  • Very little cross trade coordination & planning
  • Inclement weather delays
  • Material theft
RESULTS
  • Inconsistent pricing
  • Unreliable scheduling
  • Additional interest expense
  • Materials waste
  • Excessive waste handling
  • Skyrocketing labor wages
  • 250,000 open jobs per month
  • Lower profit from operations
  • Low Buyer Loyalty

What we do differently

We engage technology to manufacture and install “white label” framing packages for general contractors and home builders, (complete with M.E.P’s). This provides a scalable, consistent product that far surpasses the quality of traditional site-built framing packages and significantly reduces construction cycle time.

We can manufacture the equivalent of 1.5M sq. ft. of homes annually with a production staff of 42 people!

Framing panels with mechanical, electric, and plumbing rough-in improvements pre-installed.

Automating The Home Building Experience

Construction needs to be approached as a sophisticated process— engineered & automated, from planning through fabrication.

Plans are drawn in 3D to produce files and data which are then used by CNC Saws and Wall/Floor Assembly Systems. The manufacturing process is plan-driven, enabling us to build multiple products on each line.

By combining robotic material processing with semi automatic assembly, Occam eliminates an average of 105-man hours from a process which requires 292-man hours to complete using traditional site-built processes.

Occam Off-Site components are fitted with all plumbing, electric and H.V.A.C. rough-in materials in place.  Final connections are made after components are hoisted, placed and secured. Homes/Apartments are “dried-in” and ready for code compliance inspections in days or weeks, not weeks or months.

A framing package for an average size home can be assembled on-site and “dried-In” in just two working days. Garbage hauling and on-site supervision costs are significantly reduced.
